Top Tips To Help You Get The Most From Your Cell Phone

Posted on 07 November 2013 by yizhan

When it comes to cell phones, no two are the same. Whether you have have a Samsung flip phone or you can have an iPhone, you will find great benefits from the tips located below. Any cell phone user should learn all they can about the device, and today is the day!

Do not use a screen protector on your phone. These may look like a practical investment at first as they will reduce the amount of glare that you have during the day, but will also reduce the visibility on your phone. Air bubbles will also result if you do not put them on properly.

Don’t rush into buying the latest, greatest phone. Sometimes it’s just not worth it. Sometimes updates to phones are relatively minor. Read several reviews of new models before deciding if you need to make a purchase. It’s likely you don’t.

If you have a weak signal, try not to use your phone. It will drain the battery very quickly. Also, if you have your phone on your person, do not shove it down into the depths of your purse or briefcase, as it is unlikely to get a good signal down there. If you are concerned that your signal is weak, it is best to turn the phone off completely.

technology news

If you want to listen to music on your cell phone, you may want to install a cloud storage application. This way, you can save your favorites to it without using the memory in your phone. You can also do this with pictures. Additionally, it keeps your music and pictures safe if something happens to your phone.

Do not use the Wi-Fi on your cell phone if you are in a place that has access to a computer. Many people do not realize that this is an easy way to rack up excess bills. You should log onto the computer and save the data usage for the times that you really need it.

Haggle a bit when shopping for your next phone. You generally wouldn’t expect haggling to work in a retail setting, but it is often effective in the case of buying a new cell phone. Try it for yourself. It can’t hurt, and people often get between 50 and 100 dollars knocked off the price.

Charge your phone with a power booster or a pack that attaches to your cell phone. This device will have a full charge already so you can charge your phone on the go and have backup energy when you need it most. You will just need to charge this pack in advance for this to work.

Most smartphones lack an optical zoom feature. To photograph an object up close, you must physically move nearer to it. There are also lenses that you can buy that will fit onto your smartphone that will let you zoom in.

If you have a teen and they are in need of a new phone, you should think about buying them one that is prepaid. This will stop them from using the phone too much and running up a huge bill. They will be more disciplined once they know they have a certain allotment of texts, talk minutes and data that can be used monthly.

If you do not need a cellphone with internet connection capability, check out one of the several prepaid phones. These cellphones do not require that you sign a contract, and you can have phone service for as little as a few dollars a month. Many seniors prefer these phones since they are not interested in anything other than phone service away from home.

Whether you want to learn how to find the best apps, buy the best phone or just decide between Android, iOS or Windows, knowledge is power. The advice here is a great start, but don’t stop learning now! Keep reading, developing your mastery of cell phones so you can use them to your advantage.

Which 2013 smartphone is the best for gaming

Posted on 23 October 2013 by yizhan

Many of us use our smartphones for games. Some prefer the addictive challenge of a puzzler such as Cut the Rope, whereas others opt for the online casino or an arcade type adventure game. This means that one of our prime concerns when buying a smartphone should be: Which phone is best for gaming in 2013?

Android have a host of stylish phones which are great for gaming, as the Google Play store becomes ever more bountiful, but then Windows phones also have a fast developing app market. With all that in mind, it’s still nevertheless the iTunes store and the iPhone that lead the way for many critics and the iPhone5s looks set to reinforce Apple’s position.

When considering gaming abilities we should look at things like storage – 32or 64GB is preferable as games and heavy Operating Systems really fill a phone up – screen size, processing power and RAM. The latest iPhone ticks all of these boxes and the A7/M7 processing combination really makes the phone a mark of things to come.

That’s not to say Android has been left behind and many will still prefer the slightly larger screen of the Samsung Galaxy S4 or the sound capabilities of the HTC One. This new breed of Android phones have huge quad core processors to keep those graphics heavy arcade action games ticking along, and the user interfaces are great for swiping and touching the screen.

Phones like the Sony Xperia Z have really taken the market by storm, offering a 5inch display, Snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM. The Google Nexus 4 represents how much Google’s products are having an impact on the market. It’s fantastic value and has good size 4.7inch screen for decent visibility.

Remember, if you’re a fan of perusing online betting markets or playing online casino games, a larger screen can be just what you need. Anything above 4.5inches is about right.

Relaunch of GOINOUT – the premier dedicated nightlife social networking platform

Posted on 11 October 2013 by yizhan

Social networking has always been very popular in the Philippines. A research from blog 24/7 Wall Street put the Philippines as the number one country in Asia that has 93.9% of the nation signed up to Facebook. In terms of nightlife, Philippines is one of the most happening countries in South-East Asia, offering incredible experiences. With a plethora of exotic hang outs, bars, clubs, discos around, party goers in the Philippines are spoilt for choice. This is what the creators of Goinout have spotted as a big opportunity, a huge market – the social networking trend combined with nightlife experiences. Introducing Goinout – The Social Nightlife Network app for the iPhone & Android.

Goinout delivers all that Philippines’ nightlife enthusiasts need to socialize and explore the endless nightlife choices. It redefines the nightlife experience and brings about a “revolution of the way we’re going out every night”. With social media booming in the country, low costs of Android mobile phones and the rise of the mobile internet, the creators of Goinout are confident that the application will soon steal people’s attention as they use Manila as a launching pad.

Android Release & Cool New Features

With the much-vaunted release of the Android version of the app, users can now interact with a greater number of like-minded clubbers and party-goers. The app now boasts a dedicated camera feature for users to upload pictures from their nights out, thus, making it easier for other users of the app to decide on the best parties to go to. In the coming months, users can also expect more rewards that can be redeemed via the app as Goinout partners up with clubs & bars all over the city.

With the current member base at approximately 40,000 strong from the IOS community alone, this figure is expected to grow exponentially in the coming months – especially with aggressive and innovative marketing strategies in the pipeline. “We’ve been very fortunate that the Singapore Infocomm and Technology Federation has recently awarded us with a grant to bring our product and services to the next level – not only through tech improvements but with such valuable support from the SITF grant, we can explore more innovative and cost-effective modes of marketing and awareness-creation.” says Vasu Gulati, Marketing Head of Goinout. This is good news for both advertisers and venue operators alike as they seek to garner the attention of an increasingly affluent, yet, demanding consumer base. With Goinout’s highly targeted member base (over 18, socially mobile and have money to spend while hitting up nightspots), the founders expect to receive very positive support and demand from marketers and venue operators alike.

Advertisers Playing A More Significant Role

With several category leaders from the lifestyle industry as potential advertisers lined up, the plan is to allow these advertisers more autonomy in deciding how they want to reach out to the lucrative member base. From product discounts to giveaways, these advertisers have been hand-picked to ensure that they are plugging products and services that would appeal to the lifestyle of the typical Goinout user: 18-50 years of age, socially mobile, time-poor but cash-rich executives and entrepreneurs who trust that the app will allow them to be at the right parties at the right time, always.

With advertisers providing such innovative and content-rich support, the Goinout user experience will be all that more rich, fun and fulfilling.

Greater Interaction Between Clubs/Bars and Consumers

In addition to a smoother, faster and more fluid user experience, Goinout users can expect to enjoy and capitalize on cool new features like photo-sharing and instant messaging. With the photo-sharing function, users can interact with their communities and tribes real-time by sharing interesting and cool photos of the going-ons in the clubs and bars they visit, thus, providing a visually impactful and accurate review of the venue they are patronising. “When the sun is out on a Sunday, my routine would be to check out who’s at Tanjong Beach Club and if it’s worth my trip there or not – usually it is” says Vasu.

Over time, venue operators will be given access to an easy-to-use interface where they can post the latest updates on promotions and activities to ensure that they speak to the member base in as effective and as alluring manner possible.

 A Well-Rounded Team

With a well-rounded team headed by individuals with vast experience and competence in the nightlife entertainment, information technology, luxury lifestyle and new business development, the Goinout team has been working round-the-clock to ensure that the app will be a winning platform for consumers, advertisers and venue operators alike with a vision to expand into the region in the coming 12 months.
