Sony revealed their newest PlayStation Portable in an event at Tokyo. It was the rumored PSP2 with the codename “NGP” or Next Generation Portable. The PSP2 has a lot of changes and said to be as powerful as the PlayStation 3. Equipped with a high-resolution, touch-sensitive OLED screen that’s larger than the original PSP screen, tilt-sensitive SIXAXIS controls, dual analog sticks, front and back-facing cameras, and a touch sensitive back panel. The PSP2 uses an all-new form of media storage for games, a small flash memory card that is dedicated for NGP software titles. This card is capable of storing the full game data and other add-on contents — no more UMD (a very smart move for Sony huh). The PSP2 NGP should be out maybe this holiday in Japan.

The problem with the iPhone4’s antenna, loosing signal while gripping lower portion which we seldom do when we are making a call, has been a problem since the day it was released in the public. almost everybody noticed this problem. Well Apple responded on this issue and said.
“Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”
I’ve read some articles from other blogs and found out that by just putting a bumper ( new product by apple for the iPhone 4) it will solve the issue of the antenna problem. The bumper is a plastic strips that wraps around the iPhone 4 and comes up with different colors that gives stylish look for your iPhone 4. The bumper cost $29.00 and only pits with the iPhone 4
As Apple mention, by avoiding to grip the lower left corner of the iPhone 4 or by just putting a protective casing, signal strength will not drop. Well in this case putting a bumper to your iPhone 4 will resolve the issue. hmm… looks like a good investment to me.
Inspired by ASIMO’s balance and walking technology, Honda has build the U3-X Personal Mobility. A unique experience of riders and vehicles, the U3-X makes new technology in the advancement of human mobility.
Derive from ASIMO’s technology of great balance through hard researches by Honda, it provides the U3-X ability to balance and have free movement in all directions, most likely in human walking. It can analyze what’s the rider intention in terms direction and speed when the riders lean, either forward, backwards and sideways. Speed is then determine by the incline of the U3-X. All this can be control just by shifting your weight.
The U3-X is powered by Honda’s Omni Traction Drive System. It is the first wheel technology that enables to move in any direction, consist of multiple small-diameter motored controlled wheels placed in line with each other to form a large-diameter wheel. By rotating the large wheel it enables the U3-X to move forward and backward while rotating the small-diameter wheel, allows it to move sideways and by combining the rotation of the two wheels, it enables the U3-X to move diagonally.
The body-cover of the U3-X is made of carbon fiber that acts as extra support frame it also has a fold-able seat and foot rest that you can fold in when not in use.
Specifications:
Height: 25.6 in
Length 12.4 in
Width: 6.3 in
Weight: less than 22 pounds
Battery: Lithium Ion
Operation: 1 Hour
Watch the video below for some demo of the U3-X prototype.
How fast Smart bro’s plug it can go. Well yesterday when i was on my way home from Cavite to Rizal, I decided to run some speedtest via speedtest.net. I made a test from several places in Cavite, Pasay, Makati, Pasig, Taytay and Angono. Using the HUAWEI E1553 wireless broadband modem.
Shown on the image below are the results of the speed test.
Speed test result taken from PLDT Binakayan Kawit Cavite ( besides PLDT Cell Site)
This two are taken 2 to 3 km. away from the first one between the boundaries of Imus and Bacoor Cavite. (hmmm…. seems like no good at all.)
This one is from the end of C5 extension Rd. near the runway of the airport in Multi National Rd. Paranaque City.
This one is taken from the NAIA Terminal 3 parking lot beside the Smart Mobile Cell site.
Taken from the Global City in Makati in Front of the Market Market. (while Stuck on the traffic)
Now this one was taken from Barangay Ugong in Pasig city in front of the PLDT Data Center.
This two were taken in Taytay, Rizal. The first one was in Sandoval Bridge and the other one in Barkadahan Bridge around 4 km. apart ( almost half the difference in speed huh!)
And finally my last test was take in Balaw Balaw Angono, Rizal near the Smart cell site.
I’ve been using Smart Bro plug it since january 2010. Well some times it gives me a headache, but it has been very helpful to me since i do most of my work at the field and i need immediate access to my emails.
