PSP2/NGP “Next Generation Portable”

Posted on 31 January 2011 by yizhan

Sony revealed their newest PlayStation Portable in an event at Tokyo. It was the rumored PSP2 with the codename “NGP” or Next Generation Portable.  The PSP2 has a lot of changes and said to be as powerful as the PlayStation 3.  Equipped with   a high-resolution, touch-sensitive OLED screen that’s larger than the original PSP screen, tilt-sensitive SIXAXIS controls, dual analog sticks, front and back-facing cameras, and a touch sensitive back panel. The PSP2 uses an all-new form of media storage for games, a small flash memory card that is dedicated for NGP software titles.  This card is capable of storing the full game data and other add-on contents — no more UMD (a very smart move for Sony  huh).  The PSP2 NGP should be out maybe this holiday in Japan.

iPhone 5 rumors: What you need to know…

Posted on 30 January 2011 by yizhan

Rumors scattered over the internet that apple is releasing their newest version of the iPhone, “The iPhone 5”.  As expected, it will be available this summer and there will be a lot of changes specially in its processor’s feature.   There are some speculation that the iPhone 5 will be equipped with a new  antenna, 1.2GHz processor and a larger screen: 3.7″ instead of 3.5″, a very fast mobile – broadband connection. The iPhone 5 may also be made from a new kind of alloy.

Apple might also use the NFC technology (Near Field Communication), a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimeters (3.9 in) distance. This kind of technology where already use on the Samsung Nexus S and the Nokia C7.  With this technology the iPhone 5 can now act as a credit card so you may not carry you credit card with, you can use your iPhone 5 for payment instead.

All information mentioned is still unofficial, we might be surprised that the iPhone 5 could deliver more powerful features than we expected.  So lets just wait for the release. :)
